Ramble, scentful and funky space

- A river runs through it. View from the Cliff House on the Hiawassee River, July 2009. We took a ramble through the grounds and porches around this house for sale when we were there last.

- The savory smell of the rosemary flecked soap sitting on a shelf in my kitchen. I get a whiff of rosemary every time I lean over to pick up Sophie's water dish for refill. (Not wanting to use it for washing up just yet since it is so delightfully scentful.)

- Visiting a potential client who sells fine art out of a building that was once used to manufacture Arby's sauces. A huge vat in the center of the space has now been made into a conference room with a door cut-out and funky furniture and sculpture inside.

Every time I pass a rosemary bush I rub my hands on it and the smell lasts and lasts.

And that must be one big-a$$ vat to be made into a conference room.

Lynn, you are your blog are great! Did I ever tell you that? :)

Mama Zen -

I got that soap at one of those mountain craft fairs in NC in July. It is divine smelling!

Jannie -

I love rosemary - it's fun to skewer meat and veggies on it for the grill, too.

It was one big-aSS vat - I wanted to take a picture, but my boss was with me. :)

You did tell me, but thank you for saying it again. The feeling is quite mutual, my friend.

Galen -

Thank YOU for visiting MY humble blog. And thanks for the compliment. I will work on a Flash 55 - it does sound fun. I always look forward to Mama Zen's. You have a great weekend, too!

That conference room takes recycling to a whole new level!

Love the photo - I can feel the energy of the river.

Rosemary is a super scent. I love great smelling soaps though, like you, I don't like to use it right away - lol!~

That is the coolest building I've been to in a long time - all that original artwork for sale.

Love a savory smelling soap. I kind of felt sorry for the woman - she had one visiting her booth, so I studied all of them before selecting rosemary.

That river is calling me name - I have no idea when I'll get back there. Just couldn't resist posting a picture of it today.

Lynn, I'm glad you couldn't resist. And you should do a Flash 55 - I think you'd do great!

I agree - Mama Zen's are remarkable.

Good morning Talon -

That would be a great creative outlet - I'll think about that this week.

I hope you have a good weekend!

Beautiful pic of the river. Reminds me of the Farmington River out my way.

We have learned that someone owns that property across the way and doesn't intend to develop it. Good news. Even though my sister's house is just a short walk away from this one, we hate to see more development. Her house was already there - we keep telling ourselves. :)
