So good, great yarn and voice

- These treats made for a co-worker's birthday that lived up to their name, "So Good Brownies." Found in the August 2009 issue of Southern Living - the recipe was said to be so good that the entire food staff of the magazine approved them at first bite. They were a hit at the printing company, too.

- In the same issue, a review of Pat Conroy's new novel, "South of Broad," a book that I cannot wait to get my hands (and eyes) on. If you haven't read his books before, he spins a great yarn every time.

- Hearing a voice on the telephone that I just never get to hear enough - friend Tereza invites me to son Max's christening on Saturday. Max is a sweet, serene baby that I am looking forward to cuddling.

Those brownies look divine!

Mama Zen -

They are sooo good and really not that much more trouble than brownies from a mix. The magazine gives several variations that I may try (adding peanut butter or coconut - things like that.)

Yummy Yum Yum! They look so delectable!

I love when a favorite author comes out with a new book. Always hoping that they can keep the magic going and thrilled when I find out that they can.

I'm jealous - aren't sweet babies the best?

They were delectable! And love a new book - especially taking my time with it.

Can't wait to get my hands on that baby! He is adorable.

Mmmm...yes, those brownies...you're making me hungry (as I sit here eating broccoli!)(why can't broccoli taste like brownies???).

Have fun at the christening!

I don't know why - what's that about? I do love broccoli though. With a little olive oil on it. Yum.

They were gone in a flash. They were pretty easy to make, too.
