Cheerleader, how good and the Twilight Zone

- This lawn jockey in friend Tim's front yard, all done up as a University of Georgia cheerleader for gameday. With support like this, UGA just might be looking at a fourth straight win this week. The lawn jockey has endless costumes and soon will be done up for Halloween.

- Visiting a fragrance design business and telling them how good it smells in there. They say they do not smell it at all. Most people think the printing company has a pervasive smell of ink, but we do not smell it either. At least not anymore.

- "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call 'The Twilight Zone.'" Hearing this lovely prose on NPR this morning made me happy, as they paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Twilight Zone!

Ah ha, The Twilight Zone, that explains a lot about my life to see it put into words.

doo-doo, doo-doo
doo-doo, doo-doo...

I bet I will love smelling all those inks when I go to Atlanta for the Take Your Blogging Buddy To Work Day.

Tim is obviously a creative guy! Loving the football head!

It's amazing how we get used to things - even amazing scents. They say our sense of smell is the strongest memory trigger and it's funny how a particular scent will take you back in time.

I loved the Twilight Zone. Always left you thinking and pondering...

We need to ask why he had the bulldog mascot at her feet turned around? Did you notice that, BB?

Jannie -

I was thinking that about myself! Take Your Blogging Buddy to Work Day will be so fun! We'll go visit the fun clients and have lunch at Mr Cs. :)

At Easter when I was over there, it was wearing a frock and had a little basket of eggs. :)

I loved the TZ, too!

G-man -

Awww - you called me Lynnie. That's what my friends and family call me.

I thought about a Twilight Zone 55 - I'll work on something for next week. Watching for the signpost!

That is a creepy statue if I've ever seen one! BTW, I found out about "PMS blue" a couple of weeks ago and laughed my ass off.

I used to run my own graphic design business, and handled a great deal of printing, and boy does the ink smell. I love it though.

I can say this here: go bulldogs! Since I don't do much on New Years eve, I can usually be found in front of the tube watching the TZ marathon. I watch my faves, and any I might have not seen, and skip the ones that creep me out too much :)
Smells too- I worked on a farm for several years after high school, and I never noticed how bad I smelled, but everyone else sure did!!
Have a great weekend.

Riot Kitty -

How appropriate is PMS blue, right?

Mama Zen -

Hard to believe it has been that long. Loved that show.

Joe -

I love the smell of printers' ink. It gets in your blood. :)

Kim -

Go Dawgs! My diehard UGA fan friend Steven calls New Years Eve "amateur night" - I tend to agree and stay home myself that night. I'll have to look for the Twilight Zone marathon - I had haven't spotted that before.

Hi Lance!

Friend Tim is all about having fun. Going over there is always an experience. He even has a "haunted" bomb shelter that he will happily take you through. :)

My favorite quote from Rod Serling is, "Imagine if you will...."

I love using it at work, for you know that state government is the epitome of the Twilight Zone.

No - it was the University of Georgia football team mascot - a bulldog. They have a real one at the games. His name is UGA VII (pronounced /ˈʌˌgə/ UH-guh) - he is 7th in a series of UGAs. :)

G -

I could see state government being like the Twilight Zone. Especially if it is anything like filling out VA paperwork. :)

Excellent costume- I knew lawn ornaments could come in handy- Looks like that dude is having fun-

The fragrance place might kill me off- too many fragrance allergies! Like a few essentail oils tho-
It's the linseed oil in the ink-

Used to watch Twilght zone all the time- use it to describe paranormal weirdness at times. Wish they'd bring it back. I had an old classmate who was Rod Sterlings look alike-

The allergy clinic I used to go to for shots had signs up about leaving the perfume at home since so many are allergic.

I loved the Twilight Zone myself - I might check Netflix for dvds of it.
