- Leaving for home through the church sanctuary after a chili lunch and delighting in the shadows and light the afternoon sun makes through the stained glass.
- Shopping with my mom for a new winter coat for her. She chooses a bright red one and cannot wait to get back to show my dad.
- A lovely fall day on Sunday. The temperature seemed just right, the sky was blue, leaves crunched underfoot. A wonderful day.

The play of light and shadow is lovely!
I love those sorts of days when nature is not only well-behaved, but shows off a little bit.
How cool that your Mom chose a bright red coat! So what would happen if Dad doesn't like it?

That is a great way of putting it - nature showing off! :)

She knew in advance he would love it. They've been married so long and are such sweethearts that they know each other to a "T."
Three sweet stunners!
I always loved getting a new winter coat too. Never had a red. Had pink, tan and navy. And could I do a fandango on the train bridge in all 3 on snowy days, or what!
it does sound wonderful! love the photo
Jannie -
Me neither! I always go for black or beige. I'll bet you do a mean fandango.
And where is your side kick today?
Thank you Cathy -
I watched that shadow travel all during the service, by the time lunch was over, it was all the way over to the side.
Nice photo! I want a dry, leaf-crunching day. It's pouring buckets here.

I guess that rain moved north and west. The ground still feels squishy to me - I took a photo of a rose yesterday and sank to my ankles. :)
What gorgeous n spirtual colors!
Red must be the color of the day- except the sky of course. The only reds I wear are earthy maroons. I'm not into bright unless I'm doing a show or a holiday...
Jannie's got major bloggy catch-up to play oday, I bet!
Snaggle -
The red was a bit out of character for mom - so that is what made it fun. She was cute - she put it on the bedroom and came and modeled it for my dad. He whistled.
Would that be a musician type of show?
Yep - our Jannie has been a busy girl. :)
