Perfect match, gratitude and legacy

- A cat named Jackson, who has one blue eye and one green eye. He chose to perch on a blanket that perfectly matches one of his eyes.

- Receiving thank you notes in the mail on the same day from two nieces, one recently married and the other about to give birth. Our mother instilled the practice of writing personal gratitude notes on us early on and it is lovely that my sisters have instilled that in their daughters, as well. Both notes contained a thank you for the gift, how much they would enjoy using it and a few lines about the gift giver.

- Sharing the legacy my father instilled in me in a meeting in which we are sharing information that might help us acquire more customers for the printing company. I tell them that my father finds something nice to say to everyone he meets and I always try to do the same whether someone turns into a customer or not.

Jackson looks so content on his perch!

Your parents have instilled wonderful traits in their children and grandchildren.

Your father has it right - you never know when you'll meet up with someone again and we only get that one shot at a great first impression. Plus, it's wonderful to have a positive - even if fleeting - impact on a person's day.

Aww, Jackson has a talent for matching -- and he's so cute!

I think I'm of the same upbringing, Lynn. Thank you notes are a warm and wonderful habit to adopt. I'm so glad your nieces are continuing the tradition.

And I think it's so refreshing to read about the way you conduct business. May more people choose your way!

What a cute cat! But then again, I find all cats are cute. Did I mention ours is especially fetching to my eyes?

Yes, wonderful traits instilled in writing thank-you notes.

Talon -

I do my best in all walks of life to have a positive impact. It is like giving someone a little gift.

Meredith -

Thank you notes. It just made a glow when I got those notes yesterday. More and more I am getting those pre-printed notes that say "Thank you for the gift." So I'm glad our kids know how to write a good note. :)

Jannie Muffin -

I think that is a cute kitty you have. He looks like a good snuggler, too.

Blue Bunny Jacksin -

Who knew?!?

Another cat lover, I believe.

That is a beautiful cat, with amazing eyes!

We had 2 burmese cats. I miss them.

Another cat lover! Jackson had the uncanny ability to single out the one person in the crowd who doesn't care for cats - my older sister. He jumped in her lap and his owner was mortified. Pretty funny. :)

I think that I have that same blanket. My dog likes to sleep on it when he can get a way with it.

Mama Zen -

I think Jackson's person had it on the back of the sofa and it fell off. He was definitely getting away with it, too. :)

That green match is strange! Every cate needs a blanket to knead.
I'm usually terrible at prompt thankyou notes-
Legacy is even better than kegacy!
You do always seem to find something nice to write to us all, too!
