Decorated, working from home and coffee

- This antique hand operated letterpress sits in the lobby of the printing company. It is a great conversation piece for visitors and did not escape being decorated for Christmas.

- My client's golden labrador retriever, Scout, who always runs to get a toy to show me, disappears around the corner and comes back this time dragging a bed-sized blanket. His owner gives him a look of resigned exhaustion and I ask, "What's next, the couch?" :)

- Coffee. Is there anything better than coffee in the 5am hour? I know, more sleep. However, that first cup of coffee while blogging is mighty fine.

Lynn,
What scout brought you is sooo funny!! Ha!!

And about coffee at 5 AM - I am right there with you!

Lance -

Scout seems to look forward to my visits. The blanket thing was pretty funny - he was flipping it in the air and rolling around on it. I think he might have been looking for a game of tug.

I love my coffee, too!

Scout might have been tempting you to have a nap - lol!

At first glance, the antique press looks like a torture chair!

Maybe he thought you were cold? That is so cute, that he always brings you something :)

I heart your printing press. I'm a huge fan of letterpress, and I daydream about owning my own letterpress one day, because I have paper addiction sickness and cannot get enough fine stationery.

Coffee is good at any time of day (although I'm currently on a cut-back-on-caffeine phase, because my sleep cycle is slightly off with the dark coming on so early.) :)

My client is pregnant and probably had been curled up in that blanket. She is understandably tired lately and looked at him with such exhaustion. I should probably go over there sometime wearing sweats and take Scout for a romp outside. :) He was also wanting to tug at my Pashmina fringe.

LOL on the torture chair! I'll tell my boss that - he will get a kick out of that.

Meredith -

I love paper, too. That is so cool that you might get your own letterpress. My boss has a basement full of letterpress equipment that he uses as a hobby. He fell in love with printing when he was 8 years old after seeing his first portable letterpress and that is all he has ever wanted to do.

I've been told to cut back on coffee, but can't bring myself to do it.

That first cup of coffee in the morning is pure heaven!

And, I agree with Talon; the press kind of looks like a torture chair!

Oh yeah nothing beats that first mug of coffee of the day!

I love that printing press. It brings back memories of my days as a graphic designer.

Mama Zen -

I know you like coffee, too, because of your avatar. :)

It could probably be used for torture!

Joe -

The first sip of coffee - the best.

Someone did a drawing of the press and it used to be engraved on our business cards.

I had no idea what the picture was. I thought it was a strange chair for a second! Love the wreath on it ;)
Coffee is the best Accompaniment for blogging :)

But did you have permission to take that picture? LOL!

5:00 a.m. huh? Coffee would be ones best friend about then. That and a chauffeur to work.

That letter press is neat indeed, state of the art in its time. Do you think man is happier now than back then? Rhetorical, most likely but if you're reading this early Tuesday morning it'll be a little something extra for your brain to chew on. ;)

Oh , forgot to mention, Scout makes me think of our Peach who ALWAYS brings guests a little something to greet them with , resulting in many many missing socks over the years. No blankets yet. Tho. Or couches!!

Cookie -

We have decorated the printing company within an inch of its life. :)

Riot Kitty -

LOL! Indeed I did.

Jannie -

Ooh - a chauffeur to work. Yes - it is 5:17am - the coffee is ready. Just heard the beeping of the coffee maker.

Happier? Probably. Definitely something to chew on.

A cute name for a cute dog, Peach. My nephew's new puppy Tucker loves to race around with his socks.

We had a press like that at college, used to learn how much work it used to be setting type compared to newer technology- cool piece.
Maybe Scout was cold?
Ah coffee- I miss you, but tea is fine too!

This old press still works, too. I think Scout's pregnant owner might have been curled up in it on the couch.

Where is the press located?
