Surveyor, napping spot and thankful

- A rare morning working from home in which I get to see the sun on the kitchen floor at 10am. My companion surveys the world outside before...

...finding a patch of sun to nap in.

- And thankful for good friends checking in on me since I was a bit under the weather for a couple of days. Friend Leisa's care package of bananas, apples, crackers and ginger ale was just the ticket for recovery.

Love that first shot. Reminds me of mine sometimes, when I come down or up toe main level and see her sitting on the window sill surveying the world on the other side.

I didn't think she was going in the kitchen much since the new floor was put in (I have her food and water in the back.) But my neighbor said she has seen her several times through the window in the morning sun. I am just rarely home in the morning - even on the weekends, so I love catching her looking out and settling down to nap. And I like the reflection of the dragonfly on floor. :)

I love the reflection of the dragonfly on the floor too.

Don't you just love the way cats have a nap at the drop of a hat? Any patch of sun or warmth and they find it.

Sophie looks so happy. That dragonfly shadow is superb! What a great shot!

I'm so glad you're over that nasty virus, Lynn :)

Sorry to hear you were a bit under the weather, and hoping you are fit as a fiddle now?

Sophie looks sooo sweet. As does your lovely floor and dragonfly reflection!

Is she shedding these days? Our little guy is. But luckily our carpet is about the same color as he is, so it's not noticeable -- at all. :)

Cute! My guys always find the sunbeams, even if they're little.

Hope you are feeling better!

Aw, Sophie. :) That first photo is so charming, with the dragonfly and her pensive survey of the world beyond the sunbeam. That floor is magnificent!

So glad you're feeling better, Lynn. I had noticed a change in your posting schedule, but honestly just assumed you were busier than usual. I hope you're back to full health very soon.

Joe -

I do love that about cats. She sleeps very heavily, too. When the painter was working on my bathroom last week, he said she slept in the same spot almost all day.

Talon -

She's deaf as a post these days, but meows for all its worth - she is happy, I think.

Thank you - I feel much much better. :)

Jannie -

Yes - much better, thank you. Sophie is shedding like crazy. She allowed me to comb her the other day, something she usually doesn't like. And I got enough fur to make another kitty. Ha!

Riot Kitty -

I guess the sun feels good on their fur... and thank you - feeling much better now.

Meredith -

I like my new floor, too, and it seems Sophie does, as well. I picked up that dragonfly in the North Carolina mountains and hung it there hoping it would cast a cool shadow and it did.

Yes - I was feeling so poorly on Tuesday morning that I just couldn't muster up any energy to post. Thank you for your good wishes!

I'm convinced cats are miserable without windows! I really like the second pic of Sophie n her shadow shape is awesome!
Sorry you've been not your best-
I'm having very bad allergy symptoms this week myself!

Hope you are much better soon!
Lucky you such thoughtful friends!

Thank you - I think my Sophie is pretty special. I liked the profile element of that second pic.

I am truly blessed with good friends. And good blog friends, too, like you. Have a great weekend, Snaggle.
