- Catching the tell tale scent of lavender while walking by the plant aisle at the grocery store. I can't resist bringing it home; it is so unique looking that my neighbor calls me during the day to ask what it is. Take a whiff, I say (but give her a hint anyway.)
- Co-worker Joanne displaying some of her blown glass art and making it sound so easy to do that. We are all so impressed that she will be demonstrating her craft at the Decatur Arts Festival this weekend.
- Skipping the last hour of the finale of Dancing with the Stars because I can predict who will win. But reflecting during the first hour how easy they make it look to do those dance moves and knowing what incredibly hard work it must be. They make me want to learn to tango. :)

Lavender looks like something out of Dr Seuss to me. :) But it does smell heavenly.

The lavender is lovely! I could happily smell that scent all day long.
That is really cool about Joanne doing the blown glass art. I've watched that being done and it's amazing how it evolves.
I'm still working on perfecting my paso doble - lol!
Lynn, you should take tango lessons and blog about it :-)!
I love lavender, but I've never been able to grow it!
Somehow the Tango seems like it would fit your personality, Lynn. Why not do it? ;) My sis took salsa lessons a few years back and *loved* the experience, and of course you know about me and the belly dance (I think). I followed the hint of my subconscious -- just a whiff really -- that said, "Wouldn't it be fun if..." and fell in love with this ancient art form.
Sort of like you following your nose and bringing home the lavender. :) I've never seen one like that -- but oh, how I adore the scent. You have great taste!
Jannie -
It does have kind of a funky look, huh? It smells SO good.

I'm glad you were up and at 'em enough to comment! I am not surprised you know how to blow glass or tango. :)

I know - I have shower gel, lotion and a candle that all have that scent.
Joanne makes it sound so easy, but I am certain it's not. She does beautiful glass work. And she plays the bagpipes.
That pasa doble looks like a scary dance. :)
Jewel -
I might just do that!
Mama Zen -
I hope it doesn't die on me - I'm not so good with the flora. :)

Except you have to keep kind of a stern face - not sure I could pull that off!
I had forgotten you did belly dancing - my friend Laura used to do that and they had performances at that restaurant Nicola's on LaVista Road.
Thank you for thinking I have great taste! As do you, my friend.
Now that's one cool looking plant, Lynn!!
Now that lavender looks like most of the plants in our garden!!
Blown glass is very beautiful. :)
My lavender came squished into an herb pot with mint and pineapple mint - those two are going nuts outside, but the lavender is down to one stubborn bit that clings for life. :)
Lance -
I think so, too.
Joe -
Really? I'm so not good with plants, but I loved this one.

Mint in particular seems very hardy. I've seen that growing wild around here.
I'm bummed out all my Lavender died over the winter- had several I grew from seeds over the years. Lucky you- love that smell- have essntial oil of it too0
ooo- blown glass art sounds wonderful!
I've actually danced quit a bit in my youth, n taught some folk dancing. Tango, hombo-yep- brought my dance partner to the prom too-
Then I stopped dancing many years- Now still can move alright at work- sort of like a dance, wish I still looked like before tho! I saw that show

Isn't DWTS kind of fun? Painful to watch at times, but I do admire the dancing.
