Ballpark, the field and view from The Ted

- The Braves lost on Sunday, but the ballpark experience at Turner Field (aka "The Ted") was lovely. A blue sky day, cheering home town fans and families having a good time together. The little blond boys to my right ate their weight in cotton candy and peanuts.

- The view from the seats.

- An early exit when the writing was on the wall. :) That gold dome straight ahead is the Georgia State Capitol building. Click to enlarge.

Aw, I'm sorry that they lost, but a day at the ball game is almost always a lot of fun, I think. Love your pictures!

Wow, looks like a workout just getting around that place, Lynn.

Beautiful spot. Better luck next time, Braves!

The Braves pitcher walked in two runs. Unbelievable. I love going to the ballpark and hadn't been this whole year. Thanks - they turned out pretty good.

Lance -

It was fun. :)

Granny Annie -

I thought about taking their picture - they sure were cute.

Jannie -

Yes - that was a bit of a hike!

Yay! I made it!

I would love to go to a baseball game like that!

Mama Zen!

I'm so glad you could get back on my blog - it must have been that other blog that I deleted that was the culprit.

Turner Field is a wonderland of stuff to do and watch the game. :)

I am sorry the Braves lost. Isn't it so like us that once we know things aren't going to get better, we're out of there:~) It happens here with the football. If we're doing well, nobody's leaves; if not, the trail of people exiting gets bigger and bigger.

The pictures are lovely. What a beautiful day to watch live baseball, lucky you:~)

I've never been to a baseball game, actually I've never watched one! Hope you had lots of fun!

Ahhhh- Life in the South--I miss the Old Field--but I keep promising I'm going to make it to the new one! I did make it to Ameritrade Stadium in Charlotte for the Gamecocks opening game, and that is a nice Stadium--sans parking! Of which there is NONE!!

Great pics!

It's been a while since I've been to the ballgame. I believe we were with the pups for "dogs at the park" the last time I was at the stadium and with all the barking going on it was quite distracting...but still fun. Glad you enjoyed your day!

Must be very close to the end of the regular season for the Boys of Summer ala` Atlanta too. So many folks in that stadium! Always a grand experience. I used to be addicted to attending Cape League summer games- but have managed to wean myself by working nights! Great pics of the park with the downtown buildings in the bg.

I am lucky. :) There were some incessantly screaming girls behind us and by the 8th inning it had gotten to be a bit much. So our intent was to just move, but then we ended up just exiting. It all worked out because I had a meeting at 7pm and this gave me time to get out of the parking lot easily and back home for an hour of rest before a meeting that ended up lasting almost three hours. :)

Joe -

I think they have them in Arizona - you should go next time.

John -

I miss Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, too - my (ex)husband and I used to just go to Braves games spur of the moment all the time. So that stadium holds a bit of nostalgia for me.

Scarlet -

That sounds adorable - what a fun event. :)

I'll bet those Cape games are great.
