Razor Lake, busy weekend and couch potato

- The lake near my sister's house in the Florida panhandle from last weekend. So lovely with the surrounding Live Oaks and Spanish moss. They do have to deal with the occasional alligator crossing the road, but other than that...

- From niece's husband on facebook: "36 hours, 700 mile motorbike ride from NYC to DC to Skyline Drive and back and even beers with many good friends in DC. Great weekend I say." He is planning a cross country motorcycle ride with friends from the east coast to the west coast, so this sounds like a good trial run.

- This weekend was fairly uneventful for me, but very restful and the DVR is down to 3% Full of recorded shows. :)

DVR down to 3%. Haha, that's my kind of accomplishment. Good work and have a good week. :)

3%...Wow, that's some kind of housekeeping Lynn! I 'save' my favorites! My latest is "Down With Love" with Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor; its a 'spoof' on the Doris Day/Cary Grant film where he plays a astronaut/cowboy to win her affection but he is really a cad (then he falls for her.) I'm a (late) 50's child so I love-love the clothing, furniture and the pace of the film :-) The dance number as the credits are rolling is also great!

The view is gorgeous!

I think the occasionally alligator would stop me from having a dip however beautiful the scene looks!

I've been so busy the last several days, that I has a couch potato this weekend! I had a marathon of Curb Appeal - the Block episodes and Sarah's Summer Cottage. The only thing left are a couple of movies I need to watch.

I don't know how to save favorites. Hmmm. I'll see if there is a feature like that when I get home. I'll put that Down with Love movie on my Netflix queue. I love dance numbers. Did you see Slum Dog Millionaire? I love the dance sequence at the end of that movie, too.

I know - I don't get in that water either. :)

Same here. That is actually on the property in which my niece works - it's a plantation. There's wildlife crawling all over the place there. She likes it though.

It really is -

Okay...here's a riddle...

Why did the gator cross the road???

Cos he wanted to get to the other side!

*falls over laffing*

Your niece's husband is having the adventure of a lifetime! I would love to join him in doing something like that (a group trip from the east to west coast). I probably wouldn't be able to walk after riding from South Florida to the panhandle...but I wouldn't mind trying to make it to CA. :)

Enjoy your shows!!

Yes - you live in a place that is a little peace of heaven. So lovely.

FB -

Alright - I did laugh at that. :) He wanted to go to the other side to chomp on someone's ankle!

Ily -

He has a good time all the time - he and all those friends from diplomatic service. I could see you making a trip like that and having a great time.

You can tell when it was an uneventful weekend when I have to resort to blogging about the dvr. :)

Wendy -

Yes - mostly HGTV stuff. :)

Such a pretty lake! I'll always be afraid to swim in Florida- between the fresh water gators n the saltwater sharks n Jelly fish- even toe-dipping is too dangerous! Here that's no concern. No poisonous snakes here either-
I always wanted to drive to CA- not until I get a new car now- Lucky Nephew IL. Good mileage I bet. Glad you got to have some well earned home r&r.

Yeah - we're surrounded by poisonous snakes here, too - my friend Shelley's dog was bitten over the weekend but will recover. Many $$$ at the emergency vet clinic.

Does "down to 3%" mean that is all you have used or all you have left. I probably have only 3% or less left available on mine.

Restful, scenic picture.

Granny Annie -

It meant that I only had 3% left to watch out of a possible 100%. Just a couple of old movies were on there, but now it's getting loaded up again. :)
