- A new home in a familiar city, they are back in the city of her birth, their marriage and the city in which two daughters were born. This is the view to the right on the road leading to it, a gazebo just visible. An appropriate view for a woman who has always loved gazebos.*- The city is Macon, Georgia, home of music legends Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers Band, Lena Horne and Little Richard. The Allman Brothers Band museum is just down the street.
- He looks out at the view from their bedroom windows and says how beautiful the Bradford Pear trees will be in the spring...

That looks a marvellous place - and how could it not be with such a musical heritage.
Macon must be a special place to inspire such musical legends.
I've always loved gazebos too. Someday, it would be fun to have one on my property. Maybe one in a pond or something. :-)

Macon is a lovely place and the people are SO nice. Fast food workers, wait staff in restaurants, shop people, all nice. You have a great blog - I look forward to going back and reading more in depth - ie. when I'm not at work. :)

Thank you! It was fun to do! Mom has always loved gazebos - I found a gazebo Christmas ornament that she loves and it is the closest she has come to having one.
Yes, Bradford Pears are a sight to behold. We don't have any on our own property but I love seeing their fluffy whiteness everywhere around town after our thick glaciers melt.

My mom has an illness that requires daily care so they have moved to a gorgeous assisted living community. Just lovely people living and working there. Dad wanted to go with her - such devotion. And the Bradford Pears - definitely a bonus!
Nope no gazebo here -- no room left to build anything! He built a lovely one in Nova Scotia, tho. Attached to a deck.

It was very lovely yes until it went missing one June night.
Blinking lights had been reported along the coast line. Aliens probably. Poor defenseless gazebos abducted for invasive experiments.

As soon as there are no more pictures to hang I'll visit the Allman Brothers museum and report back. My folks seem to be happy there - some getting used to.

All the bunnies came back, tho after 2 days. And seemed really really happy. No visible scars or trauma or anything.
And the aliens had even knit them cute little booties!
It is good to hear that there are nice aliens out there. :)
Did they bring their 20 baby bunnies back with them?
