- Neighbor Tom, who passed away three years ago, planted this cabbagey rose bush. I tended them during the time his place was up for sale. Seeing them bloom again makes me smile.- Finally meeting clients after picturing them in my head for two years. We are printing a little catalog that my co-worker Marcus used to handle. It is fun to laugh with them while swapping Marcus stories. Marcus left me the gift of his clients, a wonderful legacy, and also taught me much about the printing business. He would love knowing that he is being discussed after all this time.
- A late night dinner of a hastily thrown together spinach and feta cheese omelet was, as my grandmother used to say, just the ticket.

I love how people can have a positive and lasting impact - in ways they never even know about. :)
Syncronicity at play - we had omelets for dinner also - extra old cheddar.

Ahhh, so lovely on that rose bush, what a hopeful sign.
So, were the two clients as you pictures them? :) For me, I find the way I picture people is always different from how they are when I meet them -- mannerisms and such, I mean. But their hearts and spirits always exceed my expectations!
Eggs do come in handy for a quick meal! (and so do you, as a great friend!)

Yum, just the ticket. :) F. and I ate an omelette a few days ago, with lots of mushrooms and fresh chives snipped from the pot on the porch -- and I am so thrilled to be able to use the kitchen garden again, even for these little details.
Those roses are gorgeous! You must know your stuff in the garden; roses are *not* easy.

Marcus and I hit it off on my first day at the printing company. He was semi-retired (he was 75 years old) and would come in most days for a couple of hours. Once - when the estimator explained something about a brochure's folding a little too quickly - he said, "do you understand what he meant?" Not really - I said. He took the time to take a piece of paper and fold it for me and explain why it had to be done like that. What a lovely and funny man. I miss him terribly. He battled cancer the whole two years I knew him, but finally passed away in December 2008. Since I worked his accounts whenever he was out sick, he wanted me to have them permanently.

I had some fresh spinach that needed to be used, so I steamed it up and put it in the omelet. There is always feta cheese at my house. And eggs, of course.
I do not know much about gardening at all. Someone just told me that I should dead head the roses and it all worked out. :)

I myself, cooked eggs today- hard boiled to add to potato salad, n scrambled. Breakfast- it's the new dinner! Next is pancakes n sausages...

That is true - I've had that happen with people so often. One of the men I mentioned in the post was way older than I thought he would be and in fact, fought in the battle of D-day. He owns the business.

Eggs are a big part of my diet since I am don't like to eat much meat. They are my "go to" for a quick meal and sounds like you're doing that, too. Hope you are having a good day.
