It's Random Photo Thursday! These are from the edge of the Rhododendron Gardens in Hiawassee, Georgia of Lake Chatuge on Memorial Day weekend.
- So peaceful. Chatuge Reservoir, located on the Hiwassee River in western North Carolina, is 13 miles long and extends southeast from the dam into north Georgia. The reservoir was named after a nearby Cherokee settlement.
- A pontoon boat on a family outing comes by...
...and leaves rolling waves in its wake.

Lynn...these photos are gorgeous! And I feel that sense of peace, also...
I love boat outings on a pontoon boat. Water, wind, food, family, fun and not all the work involved with sailing. :) Gorgeous pics
Yes, just lovely. Nice shots.
A lot of my clothes are Cherokee brand from Target.

We live less than a quarter mile off the lake and we own a pontoon boat but it has been three years since we've even been on the water. At least we did get to fish off the bridge last year. Oh these photos make we want to get the boat down there!!!

Thank you. I couldn't decide which one to post, so I posted all three. :)

Thanks! I like a pontoon boat, too.

I hope you get to go soon! You need that, I think.
Pontoon boats are one of my favorites!
That looks so peaceful. I want to go!

It's a comfortable way to travel on the lake.

Isn't that a lovely lake? Back in the early 1940s, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) flooded part of the town to make this reservoir and dam. So there are still houses underneath, light poles, streets, etc. Kind of creepy in a way.
Wish I'd seen these spectacular pics sooner! Great job- wish I were there... Love wake ripples.

I loved all three, so I couldn't decide between them. That was a peaceful moment - standing there at water's edge...
