- Sophie had an appointment at the vet for a shot of Cortisone. When we returned home, she explored the entire place to make certain nothing had changed in the hour we were gone and settled in among the shoes.
- My sister Jo called and reported she took a wrong turn on her way to Hayesville and ended up going over Blood Mountain. Blood Mountain? That summons up all manner of sinister images, but she said it was a pretty, albeit difficult drive.
- The woman from the GPS system called her as she was going over Blood Mountain and said, "You are going to want to kill me! I gave you the wrong turn!" It is good to know they're human - they usually sound so automaton like.
