Traveling flowers
- Taking a few moments to sit beside my kitty on the futon that she camps out on in my home office. I have not been home enough this week. Her contented purr fills the room. While we sit, the screen saver slide show on my computer displays the photo above.
- It was taken with my camera phone a couple of years ago of flowers friend Ginny picked from her garden for me on the day I was leaving for a trip. I put them in a vase and they traveled in my car's cup holder to my sister's mountain house in western North Carolina.
- Dreaming of the day when I can go back there and sit beside the river. It is calling my name.

The river looks very peaceful. Something about flowing water amongst trees that is very therapeutic for me.

I summon up the river sound in my head when I am stressed out. It is so peaceful.
Those flowers must've made for a beautiful and fragrant trip!
Just lovely, Lynn, I hope you are hearing that river in your head today?

So, so lovely and peaceful today, your post. The contented purr, the moving waters, the soft blossoms, the daydreams... loved it all. :)
I hope you get your river trip soon. That picture looks like a painting. The "travelling" blooms were so lovely and must have made fabulous companions on the trip.
Sophie must be soooo happy to have you home.

I am hearing the river today. And the flowers did make for a fragrant trip!

Thank you - it's interesting how one thing leads to another and that's what happened with this post.

Oh I so need to get there. And the flowers were lovely companions. Sophie mostly sleeps, but does purr and purr the minute she sees me.
I miss the contented purr of our cats.
You must be a good driver if you managed not to spill any of the water out of the vase on your car journey. :D
Great photo. Love the purple coloured water.

It fit nicely into the cup holder in the back seat, so no spilling. :)
And I like the purple reflection from the morning sky onto the water. It kind of matches the Hydrangea.
What a great picture! I'd love to go sit there, too.

There is a screened porch that goes across the back of the cabin and overlooks the river. I am so fortunate to be able to go there sometimes. Too cold right now though. :)
That is a great picture. So inviting. Lucky flowers to go on the trip!

Lucky flowers and lucky me!
Ah, transported to the back porch by the river again with a true friend. Moments with my Mischief are often the best part of my day.
Flowers brighten any decor, especially when from dear friends.
Special peaceful places always beckon to outr hearts- we all need them!

The river makes me think of how you love the ocean. And my Sophie is a true friend indeed.
