Confetti car, honest mistake and gold star morning

- Someone parked under the last of the blooming dogwood trees making this car look festive. Must be lots of lol-ing going on in that car. :)

- I read recently on a blog or in an article that someone thought until recently that lol meant "lots of love." She had no idea that the little sign off that she was giving on all of her correspondence meant "laughing out loud." She had been putting it on everything, including sympathy cards. Now she worries what the recipients thought of her.

- Earning another star sticker on my calendar for exercising this morning, from 5:20am to 6:00am, on the stationary bike. More on the exercise plan in a future post.

Lynn,

I Laughed Out Loud at the part about the LOL. That would be rather embarrassing. Still, I think it might have a nice idea for LOL to stand for lots of love.

While I've never done that, I do problems figuring the "lingo." I often have to look at things in Google to figure what they stand for. I don't text, which may be the reason for this.

I liked car and the dogwood confetti.

You amaze me. I can't get my eyes to open at 5:20AM. Then again, I usually up to at least midnight:~)

Great "3s":~)

That poor person - either thought the most over-familiar of people or the most insensitive depending on situation.

Good for you! I love the star plan - visual things like that are great incentives.

Wow.

Gold Stars - we never get too old for those. And you certainly deserve one, if not several, for getting up so early to exercise.

Have you read Gretchen Rubin's Happiness Project? She loves gold stars, too.

Oh, no...about the LOL...that's hilarious, btw! :)

Good for you for getting on an exercise plan! I have to start mine again now that my back is better.

Happy Wednesday, amiga!

At least it was done in good clean fun, eh?

And if you were writing a letter whilst pedaling, would that make it a "stationery" bike? Good going on the exercise.

LOL on FireBlossom's comment! She is so funny.

Actually, until about 3 years ago I thought it was lots of love too. And Jim did until about a week ago.

xxoxo

P.S. Lynn, LOTS OF LOVE!!

Keep up the excersize- hard to do in heat.
I get tons at work, but go home n eat the food so don't lose weight, but am really strong at least.

Communication can be tricky at times. I expect some people are scratching their heads at the lol's they've received. Good for you for exercising so early in the morning!

FB -

I think that is exactly what happened. Maybe the recipients didn't know either - let's hope. :)

That was a suggestion from a time management coach once - to give yourself a sticker when you exercise. It actually turned out to be a green one today. I have enough OCD in me to want to make sure the sticker colors are spaced out properly. :)

Sara -

I get up around 4:30am and am in bed by 9pm, except for tonight - I am keyed up. Thank you for all your kind remarks.

Talon -

True - or hopefully they didn't know that lingo.

lg -

I thought so, too. :)

Laura -

I actually have multiple colors - stars of any color are good. No, I don't know her blog - I'll check it out. And thanks for stopping by!

I'm glad your back is better, Chica. Yes - I'm overdue to be working out.

G -

Exactly!

Jannie -

Not that good at multitasking. I used to get stationary and stationery mixed up until I started working for a printer. :)

You're early tonight! It does look like a wedding car. I think that woman saw me snap the photo. :)

Sage -

I'm usually not feeling up to that in the morning, but needed to get it out of the way today.

I knew the day would come when I could share that story - wish I could remember where I saw it, probably Southern Living magazine. :)
