Decisions, flexibility and step in time

- The food is easy - same specials every day - and whatever current sporting event is going on is featured. Mr C's devoted clientele must have a good support system inside.

- The flexibility of my cat Sophie while a bit of remodeling is going on in the kitchen during the day. Her food and water had to be re-routed to other rooms. She seems particularly pleased to discover her water bowl in the bathroom and keeps going back to visit it, as if water is especially more of a treat when it is somewhere else.

- Mulling over the wording for tomorrow's post brings up the phrase, "over the rooftops" and instantly recalls the memory of the chimney sweep song and dance sequence in the film version of "Mary Poppins." And happily singing "Step in Time" to myself on the way to work. I especially like it when the sweeps dance like The Rockettes. :)

I wonder what sorts of decisions are being made at Mr. C's? Is it all about meatloaf and side dishes and trivia? Or is deep and contemplative stuff?

"Never need a reason, never need a rhyme..." I'm humming it now and will be singing it all day. And it will make me smile :)

Well, just where is Mr.C's? I need to make some decisions about my non-flexibility and my inability to dance like a Rockete to Step In Time.

Or perhaps just what kind of beer to choose... I saw on facebook that a friend who got engaged last week has broken it off this week - maybe that kind of thing!

I am so glad I could put a fun and happy song into your head. I'll be singing it all day, too. Now "over the rooftop step in time, over the rooftop step time!"

Annie -

Ha! You made me burst out laughing out loud. Mr C's - Howell Mill Road in Atlanta and near my office. :) I used to love to dance like the Rockettes in my aerobic class back in the day. :)

It's amazing the way cats seem to adapt to changes with such ease..I wish I did.

I've never seen Mary Poppins!

Joe -

I am with you - I resist change myself, but I sure have had a lot of it.

If you ever want to watch something completely delightful, get Mary Poppins on dvd. My niece and I love the laughing sequence, too, in which they laugh so hard they float into the air.

I want that sign for my desk...

Aw, I love Mary Poppins! My sister will be playing with the show when it comes to Atlanta in May. :)

That is so cute about Sophie and her water dish. I need a trick like that to make me drink my 8 glasses a day without fail...

Riot Kitty -

A good sign for sure. :)

Meredith -

I would love to see the show when it comes to Atlanta - I might see if the Fun Girls want to go. So your sis plays with an orchestra?

Sometimes it does mean changing things up a little to form a good habit, I guess. :)

Dido Talon- What Descisions??!! Which chair to sit in? Salad or veggie?
Sophie is funny! I move Mischiefs kitchen dishes (there's another set of food/water in the bathroom as back-up extra), weekly to clean. Some days Mis just likes the other dishes better- n if I'm late getting home, there's enough. If I need to lock her up- (visitors) it's there already.
I remember that film, n the sweeps dancing- been many years- thanks for reminding me how much I like Dick Van Dike's character in that.
"I love to laugh Ah ha ha ha! Long n loud n clear-... I should rent that dvd n see it again- huh?

I doubt there is any choice of side dishes at Mr Cs, probably chips or no chips. :)

Sophie is funny - she is meowing at me right now for something, not sure what.

Yes - rent Mary Poppins sometime for a good mood lifter. I'm going to.
