Lunar landing, missing the curling and flora

- Andy Warhol combined two photos that Apollo I astronaut Neil Armstrong took of Buzz Aldrin, Jr. during the lunar landing mission to commemorate a historic event that still seems like a miracle to me. Warhol's initials appear in the visor.

- From Mr C's sign: Miss Curling yet? Trivia 7:30pm. :) I did not photograph it, but still fun. I do kind of miss the curling.

- My company printed a 12-month calendar for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. I remember to turn it to March this morning and read an interesting fact: A total of 85,729 trees, shrubs, flowers and bulbs were planted to beautify Hartsfield-Jackson in 2009. Perhaps you will see them out of your airplane window, should you pass this way...

Hi!!!

I used to fly through your Atlanta airport a couple times a year when I was racking my Delta airmiles, but it's been a while since I graced the doors over there.

Be almost worth a trip just to your airport to see all the plants!! Will you meet me there in your blue chiffon with a glass of chablis in your hand? (And 2 glasses for me?) :)

P.S. My poem is up now -- I accidentally hit "publish" yesterday last night instead of "preview" before it was ready to unleash on the world. :)

xoxo

3 something 3 something -

Thanks for stopping my. :)

Jannie -

Why sure, I will! I'll also have a carnation behind my ear. But I am more of a Bloody Mary kind of girl when at the airport. :)

Lynn, I was just starting to fully understand curling when it went away...

I love that they did all that planting - definitely it would be a beautiful sight to see from a plane - especially in the summer.

Blue chiffon, bloody marys, and a pink carnation - sounds like a twisted horror story! lol!

I'm up for the chablis! You can have the bloody Mary. :D

Do you know I didn't watch one thing during the Winter Olympics! Do I deserve a gold medal for that?

I don't think I'll ever quite understand curling, but it was fun to watch.

Well I didn't say it would be a PINK carnation! :) But you are right - I sound like I should be wearing a lot of smearing eyeliner and smudged lipstick. Hee hee.

Joe -

You get a medal if you think you deserve it for that. :) And I just don't like chablis. I do like pinot grigio though.

That is a lot of shrubs!

And I wonder where they are putting them? I am at the airport now and then and can't think where all that would go in a place where anyone would see them.

Mama Zen -

I think it might be an acquired taste. :)

Whoa... that's a lot of trees and flowers. I haven't been to Hartsfield-Jackson in a while... but perhaps soon we will be flying to Eastern Europe so I can meet F.'s family in person finally, and then I'm sure we'll go out of good ol' ATL.

I think I'd make a trip down for this event where you'll be wearing blue chiffon and a carnation behind your ear. :) Mark me down for a gin & tonic with extra lime!

I love those pieces! Forgot all about them tho sure it was discussed in Art History at some point. Looks like he's getting more than the 15 minutes too!
They're holding curling clinics at "Sunday River Ski Resort" this winter!
You should curl your hair n walk in n say "I did curl!"
It's been awhile since I was able to see detailed plants from a plane...(?) but I'm sure the landscping must be wonderful- (Who wrote that thing?)
Sorry folks- But I'mm gonna have a Black Russian...

Unless I come up with a better photo today - Andy will get his final 15 minutes from me tomorrow. :)

I hope you enjoyed that Black Russian!
