Shadow, unhurried and just enough

- My sister announces the arrival of her new "granddog" - Hank. A new home on a sunny day. My favorite part of this photo is the shadow of my niece's hand.

- An unhurried rainy afternoon meeting with a client in a coffee house that is only about drinking coffee and delivering finished samples.

- The coffee house puts out samples of raspberry chocolate cheesecake brownies in little cups. One perfect bite and just enough.

I love shadows in photographs, I think they are often more interesting than the main subject matter. Not that Hank isn't adorable of course!

Joe -

So do I. And I can just see Abby waving her hand while talking about the puppy - we have a propensity to do that in our family.

A puppy!! And a beauty! I'm jealous! Your neice's hand looks so graceful in the shadow.

You stopped at one bite? You've got willpower girl! ;)

For the life of me I couldn't get that photo to enlarge, so had to settle for the thumbnail. My sister emailed it. She is full of grace, indeed (and that is her middle name.)

The bites were free, but they were hoping to lure people into buying one. Yes - that was less calories - just the one bite. :)

Raspberry chocolate cheesecake brownies? How did they know to put four of my favorite foods together in one desert?! Lucky Lynn.

Puppy is so cute in his blue collar. My mom jokingly calls our cats her "grandcats" -- but I suspect she's still hoping for the human version. ;)

What a cute picture!

One bite would never be enough for me ;)

Meredith -

I like the sound of those food groups. :) Grandcats - that is too cute!

Riot Kitty -

I know - it is hard. Maybe I should just go on an all sweets diet! (Just kidding - someone is going to tell me that is a bad idea.)

I love new puppies! Lucky niece-
Well, the pic loaded really quick at least!
Uh-oh, I woulda scoffed up those samples! I always get so hungry hearing about your tasty distractions... Where's that coconut custard I made this week...

Mama Zen -

I can't wait to pet him.

I love food - there's no denying it. :) I snagged one that had a fat raspberry showing and ate it while the woman was processing my payment. When my client was eating hers, she said she is sorry she knows about that now. She lives around the corner, and I guess it would be a temptation to go by there more often.

Sweet post, cute puppy. Hank is a lot more adorable than the tongued-out red dog on my wall...lol

Jannie -

It is difficult to resist the sweets. :) xo

Shyamanga -

He is adorable - I look forward to meeting him in person. This is a photo my sister sent. I kind of liked your red-tongued dog. :)
