- Deciding to forsake a dark, cavernous parking garage, find street parking and have a bit of a walk to visit my client. You can't see it, but her tall building is about a half mile thataway. A lovely morning, about 9:30am, 70 degrees (f), the day is fresh with new promise.
- A dog with a big gruff bark was somewhere around this house my car was parked beside. Lucky dog to live somewhere so close to symphony hall and the museum with the Salvidor Dali exhibit and to be guarded by the elephant's child.
- I think other people had the same idea. I loved my breezy walk, but time to move on. Already plotting to stop for a cafe latte on the way back, I am on my way.
I hope your weekend makes you happy. Have a great one!

No dark you seek
But the walk is sweet
Before the suns to high
A dog does barks
Where the elephant walks
With symphonies and museum close by
Other people were inclined
To take the same walk as mine
For that café latte and maybe pie
You too on the week end.
P.S. did you see the elephant?
Um, cafe latte, always a treat to look forward to.
Lovely street pictures. You do have The Eye, don't you!!
Nice tinting on your Camry too, if that's it in the first pic.
Happy weekend to you too.

I certainly admire Fido's sense of culture!
Ellis!
I didn't see the elephant until you mentioned it! Good eye! He is so clearly there - so I went back and edited and made reference to it. Thanks Ellis - and I am calling him the Elephant's Child after my favorite Rudyard Kipling story. I loved him for his "'satiable curiosity." :)
Love my poem!
Jannie -
I stood in one spot beside my car and rotated, taking my three photos. That is a similar car to mine just behind it. :)
Thank you for thinking I have the good eye - but the award goes to Ellis today. :)

Yes - he is a lucky dog, indeed. :)
Looks like a picture perfect day! Hope your weekend is too!
Elephant Child is so cool. I would break out a watering can just for him, and prune him just so. :)
I am NOT showing my hedges that elephant because they would be soooo jealous!
Cafe latte is a good incentive!
Joe -
It was Joe. And I hope your weekend is picture perfect, too.
Tony -
Hey there! So good to see you here. Just So. :)
Talon -
So someone's job is pruning hedges into animal shapes, I guess. There is a childrens' shop not far from here that has Teddy Bear hedges.
I love that latte!
Love the streets of your town. I think I'd walk a lot more living in a place like that.
That cafe latte sounds good. I've been having my own espresso every day for I don't know how long; I'd love for someone else to make me coffee once in a while. :)
Enjoy yourself this weekend!!
70 degrees sounds wonderful Lynn! Have a good weekend!
lg :)
Beautiful neighbourhood! I love the mature trees and big wide verandas. Definitely better than a nasty parking garage.

I love that area of midtown Atlanta. And I love the taste of diluted espresso. That's why the latte appeals to me so much. Someone gave me a Starbucks gift card and I've just been using the daylights out of it. :)

You, too!
Sparkling Red -
That parking garage so annoys me - the visitor parking is a hike from the exit door and I just don't like it, so I'll be finding that street parking when it is not too hot or cold. :)
I like walking, but not a fan of cement too long- hope your walk was pleasant! Cool elephant plant! n House, n garden-
N street! Nice nieghborhood to check out-
Enjoy thos 70s!
Gorgeous photos, and what a lovely walk on a beautiful day! I hope you enjoyed your latte :)
Snaggle -
I had on my most comfortable pair of boots, so it was OK for that distance, at least.
We had a beautiful weather weekend and hope you did, too.
Adrenalynn -
It is good to see you - and yes, I enjoyed my latte immensely.
