The answer, what's next and mitsitam

- The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind... That's what this couple was singing on Sunday and it was impossible not to sing along.

- Using the last of the blueberries from the freezer on my morning oatmeal and pondering what will be the next morning fruit. The answer might just be at the farmers' market this afternoon.

- The Smithsonian catalog contains a page with Native American jewelry and such that you can order. The Mitsitam Cafe Cookbook caught my eye - I like the sound of that word Mitsitam. Turns out it means "let's eat."

I don't even want to know how much that jewelry costs.

You song along
with two on stage
As they song a old
but goody song

The blueberries Said bye bye
But you didn’t cry
For the farmers market
You’ll pass by today

The Smithsonian offered
A cook book in their book
Of the Native American way
So you better not delay

That catalog sounds interesting! So is the Mitsitam Cafe Cookbook winging it's way to you? ;)

Sorry, my friend. But I do love me some blueberries.

Granny Annie -

It costs a lot. :)

Ellis -

I saw other people singing along, too. Great wrap-up poem! Thank you.

Jannie -

It does stand up and those hay bale seats were actually comfortable.

No - no more cookbooks. I have a bakers rack in my kitchen bursting with them. :) I just liked the way that word sounded and then laughed when I saw that it means something as mundane as "let's eat." :)

I love that there is a "lets eat" in every language.

I loved your experience with the Mitsitam Cafe...and the meaning of the word...very appropriate.

I love that Dylan song. I was sang in a talent show, however it wasn't quite like Dylan...this was before someone nicely told me that I really sing...and turned that someone was our dog who howled. That sort of did in my singing career:~)

I hope you find the perfect berry or fruit for your breakfast:~)

Love that song too. Have always loved to meander through the Smithsonian catalog as well.
Neat Lynn!

I love blueberries - actually any kind of berries. I just made blueberry muffins last week actually.

Sorry, that was a totally inane comment...I'm super tired!

I'm a lover of all things Native American. Keep me away from that catalog!

Mmm...blueberries. Especially in pie, love it! I haven't been to a farmer's market in a long time. How fun!

Sorry I just cracked up at R Kitty's comment! :D

Lets eat always sounds good to me!

See my comment was no better and that was after a nights sleep!

Me, too - I was expecting Mitsitam to mean something a bit more mystical. :)

Sara -

That is funny - the dog howling. :) Yes - I settled to raspberries, although they seemed a bit expensive.

My sister lived in the DC area for more than 20 years and so I logged in quite a bit of time in the Smithsonian museums. Must go back there soon. (She lives a couple of hours away now in the Shenandoah Valley.)

Riot Kitty -

I understand and hope you got some rest, my friend. :)

Mama Zen -

I guess so - I believe you told me you were Native American before.

Jewel -

We have an international farmers' market not too far from my house - it's been featured on the Food Network. My sis wanted to visit it like it was tourist attraction last time she was here. :) My intention was to go there, but I was so tired after my day that I settled for Publix.

Joe -

I always like your comments - sleep or no sleep. Coffee is ready. :)

I remember learning that one on guitar in my early teens- "How many times can a man turn his head, n pretend that he just doesn't see-" would have to be my Fave line.
I've also bemoaned the Blueberries off the produce berry isle now out of season!
Catalogues are often alot of fun reading n dreaming- Sounds like an interesting book-

Apparently Bob Dylan just hammered out those lyrics, too. The couple singing it had a definite Peter, Paul and Mary vibe.
