Cooing, new home and he's an aries

- Dinner amid the fun decor of R. Thomas Grill with friend Leisa. This must be the chirpiest place in town - the trees around it are full of birds observing happy hour. Some doves in a cage near our table emit soul soothing coos.

- After bringing in family heirlooms from my parents' house to my home, some of my less treasured things had to go to make room. So it was fun to spot a lamp I never used on the desk of an employee at the mission. It was in the trunk of my car and I handed it off along with some printed materials I was delivering.

- A graphic designer client has an email that keeps bouncing back, so he gives me another. I thought he was saying osaries(at)... and it bounced back, too. Sigh. So calling again, he says no, if is ofaries(at)... He says he was in a prepositional phrase kind of mood the day he thought of that.

That bird looks like he never hatched all the way. His body is an egg!

I love that bird sculpture - he's got some personality going on! Sounds like one of those places that's a feast for the eyes as well as a feast for the tummy!

If it wasn't for your post title, I would have read "ofaries" as some strange word...and not "of aries" - lol!

I think I would enjoy the "happy hour" with the birds...it looks like a fun place:~)

I would imagine it was nice to see your lamp being used. I recently donated my mom's piano to a school chorus and they invited to come by. It was so great to hear the piano actually being played and the young voices:`)

That's a challenging email address. Can't he make something simple, like his middle name or the name of his dog...it would easier. However, I also give him credit for begin clever:~)

Have a great Thursday, Lynn:~)

I would love to spot a lamp that was my parents at work Lynn; how very comforting! Nice of you (also) to give things away. See~ it came back to you in a nice way too!

I love dining at a place with funky, whimsical decor. I'd get a kick out of the R. Thomas Grill with all those birds.

Happy Eating!

First I hope there was a cover over your table at dinner.

Birds of two
Over your table cooed
At a dinner
For two

In with some new
Out with the older
Now the older
Became the new

The email is not right
So it bounced back last night
And it was all because
Someone was in a mood

Birdsong is always lovely. I always miss it during the winter, but then it's a treat when the birds come back each spring.

Isn't that a fun thing? It does look like an egg in the middle. :)

A definite feast for the eyes - and
that guy cracked me up. He's usually all business and I was embarrassed to have to call him and ask him to spell that again. I chucked because of that phrase of being in kind of a prepositional phrase kind mood. :)

Sara -

That lamp had to go to make way for a table pendalum clock my dad won as an award once. It doesn't even work! But I have to keep it in his honor. So bye bye cow lamp - I was glad to see someone wanted it. :)

I need to get rid of lots more stuff - this place is going explode with stuff one day.

It has kind of been all about the food this week. :) You'd love that place, I'll bet.

Ellis -

Good one! Thank you and yes - there was a cover over the food. :)

Sparkling Red -

Hey - thanks for coming by. I love to hear the birds singing. So lovely.

The restaurant sounds very cute and fun.

I must be totally brain dead right now - I cant' figure out the email thing at all!

My husband has a email address with 48 zeros in it. Literally.

What do birds drink for happy hour, I wonder?

Wendy -

How does your husband get any emails???? So many zeros. :)

RK -

Water. They drink water. They restaurant has helpfully provided a number of bird baths around.

Nice to see the pansies out again for winter, one of my favorite things about winter here.

Ahhh, I just got the last one due to Talon's comment. Duh, Jannie.

Well, it IS early.

Back to the car titles. I've 6 to transfer for Jim today. Then, I'll get my latte reward.

Isn't a latte a great reward????

And that of aries story might have been a little convoluted for GTH. :)

What a great mood enhancer with live cooing! That glass bird is wild! A blur Heron, perhaps?
Always good to pass along those useful items instead of throwing them out. How many times the email thing has happened to me- I always insist they write it down for me, or spell it- Glad you finally got it right!

I'm thinking that bird is of recycled parts. That restaurant is just full of things like that.
