Late bloomer, evaluation and bursting

- Another late bloomer - neighbor Marion's bougainvillea. Bougainvillea is part of the 4 o'clock genus of tropical plants and I love the way that word rolls off the tongue.

- Hearing from a case worker who visited my mom for physical "evaluation" after a fall (she is OK): "Your mother is delightful!" She is delightful, but it is always nice to hear that kind of evaluation from others.

- The satisfaction of finishing a book and returning it to the library for another. My suburban library recently moved to a new facility because it was bursting at the seams. The new library is always full of children - a great sign.

Here is something else to be happy about - the weekend! I hope your weekend is bursting with good things. :)

The Bougainvilleas are beautiful! We have them all over South Florida and even have a funky restaurant with live outdoor music called Bougainvilleas in Miami.

I'd love to fill my future ALF with delightful folks like your mom. She sounds wonderful!

Have yourself a beautiful weekend, amiga!

Good morning, Lynn! I love vines. Those are a vine, are they not?

I love libraries too! (but I can never find the card catalog anymore, lol)

Bougainvilleas is fun to say. Chimichanga is also fun to say.

My mother was always called delightful and I would have to make sure they were talking about the right mom. JK. My mom was an angel.

I dread finishing a good book but am usually pleased to begin another one.

My weekend is bursting with a visit from my daughter, grandson and granddaughter. WhooHoo! Hope you weekend comes alive with fun and laughter for you too.

I'm glad the library is full of children - books and kids go together!

The flowers are gorgeous!

And how could your Mom not be delightful when she raised such a delightful daughter :)

Have a fantabulous weekend, Lynn!

Bougainvillea is one of my most favorite plants. In Barbados and Hawaii, it grows to the tops of the buildings and in masses, it is so gorgeous!!

I meant massive plantings....

Ily -

I'll bet they are beautiful - I'd like to visit South Florida sometime (I've only been in the Miami airport.)

My mom is wonderful and may that be so for you! I hope so.

You have a beautiful weekend, too, my friend!

FB -

Good morning to you, too - I think those are vines, although his seems to be in a pot propped up against the building. He was "sitting" it for someone who appears to have left it there. :)

Ah - the card catalog. I miss that, too.

Granny Annie -

I like to say chimichanga, too!!! And I can imagine your mom would have been delightful.

Sometimes I want books to never end, too. I'm with ya.

Have a burstingly good weekend, GA!

Talon -

More people should use the library - I love seeing all those kids there.

What a sweet thing to say - I blush. You are delightful yourself, my friend!

Kenju -

I would like to see that sometime - I'll bet that is gorgeous!

even after a fall your mother
is still delightful to the young
And the young is at the library

The week end is here

Like saying vichychoisse (sorry, can't spell it!)

YOU are delightful. Glad mama is okay.

We have lots of kids in our new library too. Kids are good! (One in particular I am most fond of!) :)

xoxo

Bursting yes -- guitar practice, did my roots and scrubbed the shower, with plans for even more cleaning soon -- great start to a weekend!! :)

xoxo (agin)

I was just admiring a flower that is still in bloom at my kids' bus stop. I hope fall holds off a little bit longer.
What a wonderful thing for someone to say about your mom :)

What anice thing for someone to say about your mother!

Bougainvillea may roll off the tongue, but it doesn't roll off the keyboard so easily!

Have a wonderful weekend! It's my daughter's 12th birthday tomorrow, so I think my Saturday will be exhausting!

Those are all great things!

I would love to be described as delightful. I'll need to use that word more in working with the parents of my "delightful" students.

Our library unfortunately, has stopped acquiring new books. I think that's sick!

I learned what a Bougainvillea was when I visited a friend on that road name in Maimi- they weren't blooming then tho- pretty!
Much better than being cranky! Glad she's OK!
I don't get to the library often due to them closing early on my Days Off now- cut hours there again. I tend to buy books, to take my time reading.
Hope your week-end goes well-

Ellis -

Another good one, Ellis! I hope you had a good weekend! :)

Jannie -

I like saying vichychoisse, too - but I never thought I would like to eat that. Cold potato soup. Hmmm.

It was bursting - I'm tired this morning. Hope your weekend was good. xo

Cookie -

Still blooming up there! That's great.

Joe -

I thought so, too and yes, not easy to type that word.

The party must have been exhausting - I just went to you your blog because I had already seen the title. :) Oh my!

Sage -

I think delightful is a delightful word. :)

Riot Kitty -

Thanks!

Wendy -

Your library must be having budget issues. That's odd.

Snaggle -

It went well - I am tired this morning and hoping for a quiet day. :)

Mama Zen -

The library is so great. I used to work at a county library after school when I was in high school. I still love the smell.
