A new day, truth and sunrise

Rising by Bob Trammell

- Falling asleep with the television on and waking in the wee hours to an eloquent speech. No more red states or blue states today, just the United States.

- The wisdom of Jannie, passing this on to her daughter: "...no matter how bad the truth may seem, it’s the only way to go."

- With the return to Eastern Standard Time, my commute begins in the dark and ends with the sun just risen. The sky this morning has a rosy glow.

Oh my goodness, I like the second one!

But it's true. Why lie? Well, okay maybe your friend's derriere is getting a little wider or her haircut isn't her most flattering ever, of course in those instances we may see the truth more through the eyes of kindness. But with my child and to my child, we live that if we mess up we don't lie about it. Lying only makes things worse. And we'll never be mad at her for telling the truth.

So sweet of you to link me this!

Your link is coming, I promise. Probably week after next. So many people need to read your wonderful site!

I think truth is the most important thing you can pass on to a child. Good job...
